We considered a tankless water heater in the past; however, we realized that if the electricity went out the water heater would not work. With a regular (gas) hot water system we can have hot water even if the electricity is out. We have remodeled our house in stages during the past 20+ years and wrote a book to help remodelers with their new renovations.
